SALOME'S approaches to design, materials selection and production gather the mission of maximizing benefits for people and local community as well as minimising negative impact on environment.
Manufacturing/Production
Our manufacture or we rather call tailor partner is an initiative of a renowned NGO body, Yayasan Salam Malaysia. The workshop was set up as a ground for local underprivileged young adults to learn and work.Our enthusiastic tailors possess high spirit to try and venture into new challenges. Their effort to learn and strive for quality fits perfectly with our mission to produce unique and high quality clothing lines.
Design
Refused to mass produce, SALOME believes in exclusivity of scarcity. Each design is exceptional and limited. We love working against current trend and focus more on practicality, modesty and simplicity. These traits are represented in each and every design.
Materials
We seek every possible opportunity to use eco-friendly materials and to be green at our business conduct. Most of the dresses are made of high-quality materials. The small details such as logo labels, buttons and tags are of unbleached cotton, wood, mother of pearl and recycled kraft paper. We also recycled scrap materials from our operation to be made into other products sold and used by the workshop.
